Hello! My name is Sarah and I am the human behind Marcellus Photo Etc. I’m a Graphic Designer, Photographer, and Social Media & Marketing Coordinator. 

I started offering family photos to friends, and family in 2012, and I now offer Family Photos & Senior Portraits to individuals, as well as Corporate (Brand) Photography & Graphic Design to small and local businesses. My picture taking career began when I was a little girl playing with my mom’s old 110 mm camera. Most of my pictures back then featured my thumb in the corner – but I like to think I’ve come a long way since then. I took my first photography class with Ms. Purdy at Morrisville-Eaton Middle/High School, and immediately signed up for a follow up course the next semester. That’s around the time I decided I wanted to be a Graphic Designer when I grew up, so I majored in Visual Communications: Advertising & Graphic Design at Cazenovia College, and earned my BFA.

I now work full time at SUNY Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation (MAC) as their Communications & Marketing Coordinator (Graphic Design, Photography, Copywriting, Social Media, Email Marketing, Print Design, Production, Distribution, etc). I love the variety of work I get to do in this position, creating materials for Nelson Farms, the Copper Turret, the Campus Store, the IcePlex, Dining Services, and more. I get to do something different every day; it’s a great fit for me. Most of the photos I take in this position are of food (if you follow the Copper Turret on social media – that’s me!) and product photography, but I also get to shoot events and the occasional portraits/apparel models – and then I get to USE these photos in the materials I create. I also love: movies, books, board games, and corny jokes. I have 1 husband, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 fish, and 3 kids. We like to spend our family time at the lake, playing board games, around campfires, or at our local zoos and arcades!
